Both Daniel Gafford and Brandon Williams were on the court at Wednesday morning’s shootaround in Denver as the Dallas Mavericks prepare for tonight’s game against the Nuggets at Ball Arena.
Gafford participated in the session and remains questionable with a right shoulder sprain. Williams, also listed as questionable under the concussion protocol, went through work as he continues progressing toward a potential return after missing the last three games. It’s possible that Williams could be upgraded to available for tonight’s game, but it remains to be seen if it’ll happen.
Moussa Cissé was downgraded from questionable to doubtful with his G League two‑way designation, while John Poulakidas and Tyler Smith were both upgraded from questionable to probable.
With Nikola Jokić waiting, Dallas needs Gafford’s size and rim protection. Williams would provide additional guard depth with Kyrie Irving sidelined.
Caleb Martin (right plantar fascia strain), Irving (left knee surgery), and Dereck Lively II (right foot surgery) remain out.
The Mavericks will release their official injury report this afternoon, with final status expected closer to tip‑off.
