Mavs Fan Jam returns Oct. 6 at AAC with an open practice, giveaways, and concession deals. Free entry, parking, and chances to win signed items.
DALLAS — For the first time since 2022, the Dallas Mavericks will host Fan Jam at American Airlines Center. The free event includes an open practice on Sunday, Oct. 6, with doors open at 11:15 a.m.
Concession specials include a $3 hot dog, $3 small popcorn, $3 small soda/water, and a $6.50 combo meal (hot dog, chips, and small soda/water).
Parking is free at Lexus Garage and Lot E.
During the event, the Mavericks will have QR codes onsite to scan for a chance to win autographed items by Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving, as well as game tickets.

Sept. 30: Media Day
The Mavericks will hold their annual media day on Sept. 30 in Dallas. Speakers will include general manager and president of basketball operations Nico Harrison, head coach Jason Kidd, and the players.

Oct. 1-4: Training Camp in Las Vegas
Following media day, the Mavericks will travel to Las Vegas for training camp, held on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Camp will run from Oct. 1-4 and allow the team to focus on building chemistry and preparing for the grind of the regular season. The team will return to Dallas on Oct. 5 to continue its preparations.
Just like on Media Day, I will provide detailed observations from each practice day and have some clips from the open portion.
Oct. 7: Preseason Opener vs. Memphis Grizzlies
The Mavericks will play their first preseason game against the Memphis Grizzlies at 7 p.m. Central on Oct. 7 at American Airlines Center.
Other Preseason Games
Oct. 10 vs. Utah Jazz: Dallas will host the Jazz at 7 p.m. at American Airlines Center for their second preseason game.
Oct. 14 at L.A. Clippers: The Mavericks will play their only road preseason game at the Clippers' new arena, the Intuit Dome, at 9:30 p.m.
Oct. 17 vs. Milwaukee Bucks: The preseason will conclude with a home game against the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 p.m. at American Airlines Center. The matchup will serve as a final tune-up before the regular season begins.
Oct. 21: Final Roster Cuts
The NBA preseason officially concludes on Oct. 18, giving teams a few days to finalize their rosters before the Oct. 21 cut-down deadline. By then, teams must reduce their rosters from 20 players to 15.
