Stay Updated: Your Guide to Mavericks Media Day, Training Camp, and Exclusive Season Coverage
Get real-time updates from Mavericks Media Day and training camp in Las Vegas, with exclusive coverage, in-depth analysis, and behind-the-scenes insights all season long on DallasHoopsJournal.com.
DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks are hosting Media Day on Monday, with a scheduled start time of 11 a.m. (CT), before departing for Las Vegas for training camp. I will be covering it live for Dallas Hoops Journal. Most players are expected to take part in press availabilities, along with head coach Jason Kidd and president of basketball operations and general manager Nico Harrison.
After Media Day, the Mavericks will hold training camp at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) from Oct. 1 until Oct. 4. They will return to Dallas on Oct. 5 ahead of Fan Jam (Oct. 6) and their preseason opener against the Memphis Grizzlies at the American Airlines Center on Oct. 7.
Where to read my work: I recently announced I’ve joined Sportskeeda as one of their NBA reporters. I’m excited about this opportunity, considering they’re one of the largest sports brands in the world. I’ll post a lot of interviews there, but keep a close eye here on Dallas Hoops Journal, throughout this season. This is where you’ll find my most in-depth and consistent coverage on a daily basis.
Lots of content coming to YouTube: I’ll be posting content on YouTube, where I discuss the latest information surrounding the team, provide analysis, and share videos while covering the Mavericks. I focused more on YouTube last season for the first time, and it worked out well. I’m excited about the potential as I continue producing more reporting content.
I intend to publish my most in-depth analysis on DallasHoopsJournal since YouTube presents challenges with copyright restrictions. It’s also difficult to maintain ideal audio recording conditions throughout an 82-game season when traveling between cities early in the morning and needing to be at shootaround or a game the same day.
Want to support?: It helps significantly when you upgrade your subscription to premium. I cover the Mavericks and NBA independently, but it’s my passion, and I pour everything into it. I have a few options: monthly for $10, annually for $100, and a founding membership for $300. I will continue to add more benefits for those who upgrade their subscriptions as the community grows. I aim to create an engaged community of passionate Mavericks and NBA readers. There’s a 7-day free trial option if you want to test it out first, and this is a great week to do so.
As we gear up for an exciting season of Mavericks basketball, there will be no shortage of storylines to follow. I’ll be providing in-depth coverage every step of the way, and I’m thrilled to have you along for the ride. Let’s make this season one to remember!
