DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks hosted Media Day before departing for Las Vegas, offering a first look at the team’s mindset heading into training camp and the new season. After a strong run to the NBA Finals last year, the Mavs are focused on building upon their success, integrating new pieces like Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, Quentin Grimes, and Spencer Dinwiddie, as they continue their pursuit of a championship.
Whether it was the newcomers, or returning key players like Luka Dončić, Kyrie Irving, Dereck Lively II, and P.J. Washington, the entire roster of players spoke to reporters, along with head coach Jason Kidd.
