Dirk Nowitzki to Host Star-Studded Tennis Classic: Klay Thompson and Steve Nash Set to Play

The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation Tennis Classic will take place this Saturday, September 14, at the Banner House at T Bar M in Dallas. The event, which benefits The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation, will open to the public at 2:00 p.m., with junior matches beginning, and the main celebrity matches are set to start at 3:00 p.m.

Dirk Nowitzki to Host Star-Studded Lineup

Nowitzki will be joined on the court by a star-studded lineup from the world of sports and entertainment. Headlining the event is Klay Thompson, a five-time NBA All-Star and four-time NBA Champion, who recently joined the Dallas Mavericks after an illustrious 13-year career with the Golden State Warriors.

Also participating are two-time NBA MVP and Nowitzki’s former Mavericks teammate, Steve Nash, along with J.J. Barea, a key member of the 2011 Mavericks championship team.

Also joining the lineup are Dr. Phil McGraw, the well-known host of The Dr. Phil Show, as well as tennis greats Mark Knowles, a former World No. 1 in doubles, and CoCo Vandeweghe, a former U.S. Olympian and U.S. Open Doubles Champion. Together, these athletes and celebrities will compete in friendly matches to entertain fans and raise funds for the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation.

Supporting a Good Cause

The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation focuses on improving the lives of children through programs in health, education, and overall well-being. Proceeds from the Tennis Classic will go toward supporting these causes.

A limited number of tickets are still available for $65, with all funds benefiting the foundation.
