According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Golden State Warriors are interested in trading for Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis.

The Mavericks, who are listening to trade offers for Davis, will not trade the future Hall of Famer unless they get a strong return.

Davis has appeared in just 16 games this season. He’s averaging 20.5 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 52.1% from the field, 32.3% from beyond the arc and 71.0% from the free-throw line.

The Mavericks are exploring the trade markets for Davis, Daniel GaffordKlay Thompson and D’Angelo Russell, sources told DallasHoopsJournal. Davis has been in trade rumors ever since Nico Harrison was fired as general manager.

A top 75 player of all time, Davis has played in only 25 games with the Mavericks since the blockbuster Luka Dončić trade last season. Davis, a Klutch Sports Group client, is averaging 20.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.8 blocks per game in a Dallas uniform.

Davis is eligible for a four-year, $275 million maximum extension in August. The former Los Angeles Lakers big man is making $54.1 million this season. He’ll make $58.5 million next season and has a player option worth $62.8 million for the 2027-28 season.

When he’s healthy, Davis is an elite two-way force, but he can’t seem to stay healthy. The Chicago native got hurt on Christmas Day against the Warriors and could miss multiple games.

Along with the Warriors, Davis has been linked to the Toronto Raptors, Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons in trade rumors.

A 10-time All-Star, Davis has played for the New Orleans Pelicans, Lakers and Mavericks. He won the 2020 NBA championship with Los Angeles and holds career averages of 24.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.
