NBA Adjusts Dallas Mavericks Schedule, Extending Road-Heavy March Stretch

The NBA announced multiple changes to the Dallas Mavericks’ schedule, rescheduling a postponed road game and moving up another matchup—adjustments that add to an already demanding travel slate for Dallas in March.

The Mavericks’ road game against the Memphis Grizzlies, originally scheduled for April 1, has been moved to Thursday, March 12, with tipoff set for 7 p.m. CT. In addition, Dallas’ postponed road game against the Milwaukee Bucks, initially slated for Jan. 25, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 31, also at 7 p.m. CT.

The league made the adjustments after Dallas was unable to leave the area on Jan. 25 due to inclement weather in North Texas, which forced the NBA to postpone the original matchup in Milwaukee.

Both rescheduled games will air on MavsTV, with radio coverage on 97.1 FM and 99.1 FM.

Dallas Mavericks’ Road Schedule Intensifies in March

The changes further compress a stretch in which Dallas is already facing one of its most travel-heavy portions of the season. Beginning March 3, the Mavericks embark on an extended run away from home that includes road games at Charlotte, Orlando, Boston, Toronto, Atlanta, Cleveland, and New Orleans, with limited breaks in between.

The newly added March 12 game in Memphis lengthens that sequence, turning what had been a segmented road swing into a longer, more continuous stretch away from Dallas. The Mavericks will briefly return home after Memphis to host the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 13, but that contest now serves as the front end of another demanding sequence.

Dallas will head back on the road immediately afterward for back-to-back games at Cleveland and New Orleans on March 15 and 16, further tightening recovery windows during the heart of the month.

Late-Month Back-to-Back Added

The rescheduled Milwaukee game also creates a new back-to-back at the end of March. Dallas will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 30 before traveling to Milwaukee to face the Bucks the following night.

The Mavericks entered the season tied with several teams for the most games played on consecutive days, and the revised schedule adds to that total while concentrating additional road travel late in the regular season.

Updated Dallas Mavericks Schedule Items

  • Thursday, March 12 — Dallas at Memphis, 7:00 p.m. CT
  • Tuesday, March 31 — Dallas at Milwaukee, 7:00 p.m. CT

With the schedule now finalized, Dallas will navigate a March defined by extended travel, multiple back-to-backs, and limited recovery time as the regular season moves toward its final weeks.
