NBA Suspends Minnesota Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert

The NBA has suspended Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert one game without pay for accruing his seventh Flagrant Foul point of the season.

Gobert picked up his seventh Flagrant Foul point on Friday, February 20, against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Timberwolves face the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, February 22.

Rudy Gobert has appeared in 55 games for the Timberwolves this season. The four-time Defensive Player of the Year is averaging 11.2 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 70.6% from the field and 50.2% from the free-throw line.

The Timberwolves are in sixth place in the Western Conference standings. They have reached the conference finals two years in a row.

Minnesota lost to the Mavericks in the 2024 conference finals and fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 conference finals.

The Timberwolves acquired Gobert from the Utah Jazz in 2022. Gobert holds career averages of 12.5 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.0 blocks per game.
