TNT Sports Lands FIBA Rights, Making It Easier to Watch Paige Bueckers’ USA Senior National Team Debut

Watching Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers compete for USA Basketball just got a whole lot simpler.

TNT Sports and the International Basketball Federation announced a multiyear agreement Wednesday, giving TNT Sports exclusive U.S. English language rights to FIBA’s top men’s and women’s tournaments. The deal covers three marquee events: the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026, the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027, and FIBA EuroBasket 2029, with games broadcast across TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.

Paige Bueckers Among Stars Set to Debut for USA Basketball

For Wings fans, the timing could not be better. Bueckers is among the players expected to make her senior national team competitive debut as early as this month, when USA Basketball opens FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 qualifying play in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The tournament runs March 11-17, and the Americans open Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. CST against Senegal on truTV and HBO Max.

The full qualifying schedule for the United States is as follows:

  • Wednesday, March 11 — USA vs. Senegal, 3:45 p.m. CST (truTV, HBO Max)
  • Thursday, March 12 — Puerto Rico vs. USA, 6:45 p.m. CST (truTV, HBO Max)
  • Saturday, March 14 — USA vs. Italy, 3:45 p.m. CST (truTV, HBO Max)
  • Sunday, March 15 — New Zealand vs. USA, 12:45 p.m. CST (truTV, HBO Max)
  • Tuesday, March 17 — Spain vs. USA, 3:45 p.m. CST (TNT, HBO Max)

Bleacher Report, House of Highlights, and B/R W will also produce supplementary content around the events, providing additional coverage beyond live game broadcasts.

Dallas Mavericks Fans Have Reasons to Circle 2027 and 2029

The deal extends well beyond the women’s game. The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 figures to bring another Dallas connection into the picture — Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg, who has drawn significant buzz as a candidate for the U.S. national team program. If Flagg continues on his current trajectory, the 2027 tournament could be his first major opportunity on the international stage, and under this agreement, American fans would have a clear, consolidated home to watch it.

EuroBasket 2029 rounds out the package, and that event carries its own storyline for Mavericks fans. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia — the capital city of Luka Dončić‘s home country. The former Maverick has long been one of Slovenia’s most celebrated athletes, and a home-soil EuroBasket appearance would be one of the more compelling events in his career. That broadcast access will now live on TNT Sports platforms for U.S. viewers.

The deal adds to TNT Sports’ existing basketball portfolio, which includes the BIG EAST, Big 12, the NCAA men’s tournament alongside CBS Sports, and Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 women’s basketball league that featured Bueckers during the WNBA offseason.
