A four-team NBA trade idea sending Jonathan Kuminga from the Golden State Warriors to the Sacramento Kings has been created.

NBA writer Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints created the following trade idea between the Warriors, Kings, Miami Heat and Utah Jazz:

Sacramento Kings receive: F Jonathan Kuminga (4-year, $112 million contract with about $25 million Year 1 base compensation)

Golden State Warriors receive: G Devin Carter, F Haywood Highsmith, SAC 2027 1st-round pick (Top-8 protected)

Miami Heat receive: G Malik Monk, F KJ Martin

Utah Jazz receive: G Terry Rozier, MIA 2029 1st-round pick swap (More favorable to UTA), CHA 2027 2nd-round pick (via MIA)

The Kings are interested in acquiring Kuminga, who is a restricted free agent. Sacramento doesn’t have cap space to sign Kuminga to an offer sheet, so the franchise can only acquire the swingman via a sign-and-trade deal.

Multiple sources have told DallasHoopsJournal.com that Kuminga doesn’t want to play for the Warriors anymore. He doesn’t have a good relationship with head coach Steve Kerr and doesn’t think he can become an All-Star in Golden State since the team has Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler.

Kuminga believes the Warriors have stunted and strung his career along for four seasons, according to NBA insiders Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of ESPN. The talented forward has career averages of 12.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists with the Warriors. He was the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

For Golden State last season, Kuminga averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 47 games. The 22-year-old swingman, who was benched several times by Kerr, shot 45.4% from the field, 30.5% from beyond the arc and 66.8% from the free-throw line.

The Warriors made another push to re-sign Kuminga over the past several days, but the restricted free agent is continuing to decline their two-year, $45 million contract offer, according to Charania and Slater.

Sacramento and Golden State are in the same division. Would the Warriors really trade Kuminga to one of their rivals?

Only time will tell.
