New NBA Intel Reveals if LeBron James Could Leave Los Angeles Lakers to Play With Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokić

NBA icon LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers and his business partner, Maverick Carter, hung out with Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokić‘s agent, Miško Ražnatović, recently.
LeBron, Carter and Ražnatović were on a fancy boat in France and Ražnatović’s Instagram caption read: “The summer of 2025 is the perfect time to make big plans for the fall of 2026! @kingjames @mavcarter”
LeBron hanging out with Ražnatović prompted speculation about the future Hall of Famer joining the Nuggets next summer when he becomes an unrestricted free agent for the first time since 2018. The leading scorer in NBA history, LeBron will make $52.6 million next season with the Lakers in the final year of his contract.
However, according to Nick Wright of First Things First, LeBron and Jokić will not be teammates in Denver in 2026-27.
“I can report unequivocally the idea that this tweet or Instagram caption was about LeBron playing on the Denver Nuggets next year is unequivocally 100 percent false,” Wright said. “There is a zero percent chance LeBron is on the Nuggets a year from now. That’s not my opinion. I know that.”
LeBron could retire after next season. He turns 41 in December and has been in the NBA since 2003. The Akron native is arguably the greatest player of all time. LeBron is a four-time champion, a four-time MVP and a four-time Finals MVP. He has nothing left to prove.
A 21-time All-Star, LeBron enters next season with career averages of 27.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.4 assists with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers. He’s the only player in NBA history to rank top five all-time in points and assists. King James is fourth all-time in assists.
While it would have been fun to watch LeBron James and Nikola Jokić play together, it will never happen.
