The Golden State Warriors are interested in Chicago Bulls restricted free agent Josh Giddey, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

Giddey and Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga remain restricted free agents.

“I can report there have been multiple teams who have reached out to Josh Giddey’s representation about having interest in Josh Giddey,” Fischer said. “Golden State is one of them. Golden State would be interested depending on how the machinations could go in some type of Josh Giddey, Jonathan Kuminga sign-and-trade, to my understanding.”

Giddey averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.6 blocks last season for the Bulls while shooting 46.5% from the field, 37.8% from beyond the arc and 78.1% from the free-throw line. The point-forward recorded 30 double-doubles and seven triple-doubles.

Chicago acquired Giddey from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Alex Caruso trade. Caruso helped the Thunder win the 2025 championship against the Indiana Pacers in seven games, while Giddey and the Bulls missed the 2025 playoffs.

Giddey turns 23 in October. He has career averages of 14.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.5 blocks with the Thunder and Bulls.

Kuminga wants to leave the Warriors. It would be fascinating to see Golden State and Chicago complete a sign-and-trade deal involving Kuminga and Giddey.

Kuminga, who doesn’t have a good relationship with Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks for Golden State last season. The 22-year-old wing shot 45.4% from the field, 30.5% from beyond the arc and 66.8% from the free-throw line.

Golden State lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2025 playoffs. The franchise hasn’t made a single addition via free agency or trades this offseason.

Kuminga enters next season with career averages of 12.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.4 blocks with Golden State.
