According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves have trade interest in Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

If the Bucks continue to lose, Antetokounmpo could request a trade.

Before the season, Antetokounmpo requested a trade and wanted to be traded to the Knicks, sources told DallasHoopsJournal. However, Milwaukee and New York didn’t agree to a deal.

The Bucks have lost in the first round of the playoffs three years in a row. Antetokounmpo has grown tired of losing, so his future is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

A top 75 player of all time, Antetokounmpo is making $54.1 million this season. He has a player option worth $62.8 million for the 2027-28 season. The all-world forward doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract.

A future Hall of Famer, Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game this season while shooting 63.9% from the field and 63.5% from the free-throw line. He’s currently out with a right calf strain.

The Bucks are telling teams right now that Antetokounmpo is not available for trade, sources said. That will only change if Antetokounmpo requests to be moved.

Antetokounmpo and Heat star Bam Adebayo have the same agent, Alex Saratsis of Octagon. Warriors guard Stephen Curry is also with Octagon.

The Knicks and Heat know that Antetokounmpo is interested in playing for them, sources said. Meanwhile, the Spurs didn’t pursue a Kevin Durant trade in the offseason because they wanted to save their trade assets for Antetokounmpo, sources said.

Minnesota has reached the Western Conference Finals two years in a row. Antetokounmpo could be the missing piece for Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves to get over the hump.

One of the greatest players in NBA history, Antetokounmpo is a two-time MVP, one-time Finals MVP, one-time Defensive Player of the Year and nine-time All-Star. He holds career averages of 24.0 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.
