Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James ‘Stopped Drinking Alcohol’ During Sciatica Rehab, Not Interested In Retirement Tour

NBA legend LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers “stopped drinking alcohol” during his sciatica rehab, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
James, 41, missed the first 14 games of this season because of sciatica on his right side.
The leading scorer in NBA history, James is averaging 22.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game this season while shooting 50.7% from the field, 32.8% from beyond the arc and 74.5% from the free-throw line. He remains an elite offensive force despite being the oldest active player in the league.
James becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason for the first time since 2018. It’s unknown if the NBA icon will retire after this season or continue playing, but according to McMenamin, James is not interested in a retirement tour.
James has been in the NBA since 2003. He’s played for the Cleveland Cavaliers (twice), Miami Heat and Lakers.
A future Hall of Famer, James grew up idolizing Michael Jordan, which is why he wears No. 23. James is the only player to rank top five all-time in points and assists, the only player to win Finals MVP with three teams, the only player with 40,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 career assists and the only player to score 50,000 points combining the regular season and playoffs.
James is a four-time MVP, four-time champion, four-time Finals MVP, one-time scoring champion and one-time assists champion. He is arguably the greatest player in NBA history.
James joined the Lakers in 2018. He led the franchise to the 2020 championship against the Heat at the Walt Disney World bubble. Los Angeles also made the Western Conference Finals in 2023.
For the time in his career, James is not the most important player on his team, as Los Angeles acquired Luka Dončić from the Dallas Mavericks last season. Dončić, 26, and James have a close relationship, so there is no beef between the two superstars.
