NBA Trade Proposals Sending Giannis Antetokounmpo From Bucks To Lakers, Knicks, Spurs, Trail Blazers, Heat, Warriors

NBA trade proposals sending Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors have been created.

NBA writer Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report created the Antetokounmpo trade proposals in the wake of ESPN reporting that the two-time MVP is “ready for a new home.”

Los Angeles Lakers get: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Milwaukee Bucks get: Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent, Maxi Kleber, Dalton Knecht, first-round pick swaps in 2026, 2028, 2030 and 2032 and a 2031 first-round pick


New York Knicks get: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Milwaukee Bucks get: Karl-Anthony Towns, Miles McBride, Pacome Dadiet, first-round pick swaps in 2026, 2028, 2030 and 2032 and six second-round picks


New York Knicks get: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jerami Grant

Milwaukee Bucks get: Karl-Anthony Towns, Miles McBride, Pacôme Dadiet, a 2026 first-round pick from New York (via Washington), a 2028 first-round pick from Portland (via Orlando), return of swap rights from Portland on 2028 and 2030 first-round picks, and first-round pick swaps from New York in 2030 and 2032

Milwaukee Bucks get: Tyler Herro, Simone Fontecchio, Nikola Jović, Kel’el Ware, a 2030 first-round pick, a 2031 first-round pick swap and a 2032 first-round pick


Golden State Warriors get: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kyle Kuzma and Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Milwaukee Bucks get: Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, a 2026 first-round pick swap, a 2028 first-round pick, a 2030 first-round pick, a 2031 first-round pick swap and a 2032 first-round pick

Antetokounmpo is making $54.1 million this season. He has a player option worth $62.8 million for the 2027-28 season. The Greek Freak doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract.

Milwaukee has lost in the first round of the playoffs three years in a row. Antetokounmpo is tired of losing and is ready to play for another NBA team.

A future Hall of Famer, Antetokounmpo is a two-time MVP, one-time Finals MVP, one-time Defensive Player of the Year and 10-time All-Star. He holds career averages of 24.0 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.

The 2026 NBA trade deadline is February 5 at 3 p.m. ET. It will be intriguing to see if Antetokounmpo and the Bucks part ways.
