Luka Dončić Could Play In Los Angeles Lakers-Philadelphia 76ers Game

NBA superstar Luka Dončić could play in the Los Angeles Lakers-Philadelphia 76ers game on Sunday, December 7.
Dončić is currently away from the Lakers for the birth of his second child.
The Lakers beat the Toronto Raptors on Thursday without Dončić despite only getting eight points from LeBron James. Austin Reaves scored 44 points and Rui Hachimura hit the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.
James, who didn’t score 10 points in a game for the first time since 2007, passed the ball to Hachimura for the game-winner at the buzzer.
Dončić is putting up MVP numbers for the Lakers this season. The former Dallas Mavericks star is averaging 35.3 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game while shooting 47.8% from the field, 34.1% from beyond the arc and 81.2% from the free-throw line.
The Lakers, who face the Boston Celtics on Friday, are in second place in the Western Conference standings with a strong record of 16-5. Dončić, James and Marcus Smart won’t play against the Celtics.
In other Lakers news, Dončić inquired with Los Angeles’ front office to see if they can acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Fox Chicago’s Lou Canellis.
Antetokounmpo wanted to get traded from the Bucks in the offseason and his first choice was the New York Knicks.
“I can tell you this for a fact,” Canellis said. “A few months ago, Giannis wanted to be traded. His first choice, New York with the Knicks. Knicks wouldn’t move off, would not offer more than just Karl-Anthony Towns and it just wasn’t going to work with the Milwaukee Bucks if they’re going to give up Giannis Antetokounmpo.
“I can tell you that the Lakers inquired and Luka Dončić himself inquired, trying to see if the Lakers could work out a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. Now remember, Giannis wants to leave because he wants to win.”
The Lakers are known for making blockbuster trades. They acquired Kareem Abdul-Jabbar from the Bucks, Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic, Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans and Dončić from the Mavericks.
