Luka Dončić is ready to return to the floor — and he wants Slovenian fans to be there with him.

On the eve of Slovenia’s exhibition against Great Britain at Arena Stožice in Ljubljana, the Los Angeles Lakers star issued a short but heartfelt message to supporters: “Tomorrow we play a match against Great Britain. I hope to see as many of you as possible.”

Luka Dončić is Past Injury Scare

Dončić exited Saturday’s loss to Latvia with a bruised right knee, sparking concern about his availability for EuroBasket 2025. Slovenia’s federation confirmed the injury was minor, and Dončić was cleared to resume practice Monday as the national team returned from Riga.

He scored 26 points in 20 minutes before leaving that game, continuing his strong summer form after debuting against Germany earlier in the week.

Slovenia’s Final Home Tune-Up

Tuesday’s game marks Slovenia’s final chance to play in front of home fans before heading abroad. The matchup will be the team’s fifth exhibition and serves as the last test before a trip to Serbia later this week.

For Dončić, who has emphasized the importance of fan support in past tournaments, Stožice offers a stage to rally momentum heading into EuroBasket. Slovenia has dropped all four of its warm-up contests so far, but the full squad is expected to be available.

Eyes Toward EuroBasket

EuroBasket 2025 tips off later this month in Katowice, Poland. Slovenia, led by Dončić, will look to shake off its winless preparation stretch as it pursues another medal on the continental stage.
