Luka Dončić probable, Kyrie Irving cleared for Mavs vs. Spurs. Injury updates on P.J. Washington and Danté Exum as Dallas seeks to end four-game skid.

DALLAS — Following a fourth consecutive loss—all decided by a single possession—the Dallas Mavericks will attempt to end the streak on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs at the American Airlines Center.

The Mavericks released a new injury report ahead of Saturday’s matchup, which features Luka Dončić (right knee contusion) listed as probable, P.J. Washington (right knee sprain) as doubtful, and Danté Exum (right wrist surgery) as out.
Kyrie Irving, who did not play against the Utah Jazz in Thursday’s loss, is no longer listed on the injury report and will play.
Dončić has been playing through various injuries while being listed on the team’s injury report as probable. He was first playing with a left groin strain, then on Thursday, the Mavericks adjusted the designation to a right knee contusion.
Washington has progressed in the return to competition protocol. He went through a workout at shootaround and another in pre-game, which is a strong indicator of an upcoming return. However, a doubtful designation entering the first game of a back-to-back adds complexity to the projection. His progress remains important to monitor.
There’s nothing new regarding Exum’s status as he continues to recover from wrist surgery. He’s continued to go through workouts to maintain his cardio and has used his left hand since he’s often seen wearing a brace on his right.
