Multiple NBA teams are interested in trading for Sacramento Kings big man Domantas Sabonis, sources told DallasHoopsJournal.

Sam Amick of The Athletic was the first NBA insider to reveal that several teams are interested in acquiring Sabonis, one of the best players at his position in the league.

The Kings (3-9) are a walking disaster right now. They are in 14th place in the Western Conference standings and haven’t won since November 5.

A three-time All-Star, Sabonis is averaging 15.3 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game on the season while shooting 49.5% from the field, 17.6% from beyond the arc and 74.4% from the free-throw line. He has seven double-doubles.

Sabonis doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract. The lefty is making $42.3 million this season. He’ll make $45.5 million next season and $48.6 million during the 2027-28 season, the final year of his contract.

The Kings made the playoffs in 2023 behind Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox. They lost to the Golden State Warriors in the first round in seven games, but many people around the NBA believed Sacramento had a bright future.

However, the Kings didn’t make the 2024 playoffs and Fox was traded to the San Antonio Spurs last season. Zach LaVine was acquired by Sacramento from the Chicago Bulls in the three-team Fox trade. The Kings, who missed the playoffs again in 2025, are only 16-26 when LaVine plays.

Sabonis has the highest trade value on the Kings right now. If Sacramento wants to blow up the roster and rebuild, the front office could get a strong return for Sabonis, who has career averages of 16.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game in the NBA. He’s played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Indiana Pacers and Kings.
