An NBA trade idea sending Devin Booker from the Phoenix Suns to the Philadelphia 76ers has been created.

NBA writer Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report created the following trade idea between the Suns and Sixers:

Philadelphia 76ers receive: Devin Booker

Phoenix Suns receive: Jared McCain, Paul George, a 2028 first-round pick (via LAC), a 2029 first-round pick and a 2031 first-round pick

This NBA trade idea wouldn’t be able to happen right away since Booker signed a two-year, $133 million extension with the Suns in July. The shooting guard can’t be traded until January 10, 2026.

Phoenix will only trade Booker if he requests a trade. Many people around the NBA think Booker should ask for a trade since the Suns are going nowhere.

A four-time All-Star, Booker averaged 25.6 points and 7.1 assists for the Suns last season in 75 games while shooting 46.1% from the field, 33.2% from beyond the arc and 89.4% from the free-throw line. The 28-year-old is one of the top scorers in the NBA.

Booker has career averages of 24.4 points and 5.2 assists. He scored 70 points against the Boston Celtics during the 2016-17 season.

This blockbuster NBA trade idea would pair Booker with Sixers stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

“For all that’s gone sideways with the Suns, Booker has continued to rank as one of the Association’s premier perimeter players on the offensive end,” Buckley wrote. “While an uncharacteristic drop in efficiency and Phoenix’s team-wide turmoil denied him an All-Star spot this past season, he still posted a 25-plus-point scoring average for the seventh consecutive campaign while also dishing out a career-best 7.1 assists.

“In Philadelphia, he could seamlessly toggle between carrying the offense or merely supporting it as both an off-ball marksman and reliable table-setter. He could create easy looks for Embiid and Maxey and convert the easy looks they find for him. If the Sixers could somehow leave their injury problems in the past, that trio alone might deliver an elite offensive rating and the championship dreams that should come along with it.”
