NBA Trade Idea Sends LeBron James to Cavaliers, Darius Garland to Lakers, Jarrett Allen to Hornets

A blockbuster NBA trade idea sending LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Darius Garland to the Los Angeles Lakers and Jarrett Allen to the Charlotte Hornets has been created.
NBA writer Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report created the following trade idea between the Cavaliers, Lakers, Hornets and Brooklyn Nets:
Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: F LeBron James, G Bronny James, 2027 first-round pick (top-2 protected from Dallas Mavericks, via Hornets) and save $27.4 million
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: PG Darius Garland, G/F Max Strus
Charlotte Hornets Receive: C Jarrett Allen
Brooklyn Nets Receive: F Grant Williams, F Dean Wade, 2027 first-round pick (lottery-protected from Miami Heat, via Hornets)
LeBron would have to request a trade from the Lakers to the Cavaliers for this trade to work since the NBA legend has a no-trade clause in his contract.
LeBron has played for his hometown Cavaliers twice. He’s the greatest player in franchise history. Since the future Hall of Famer could retire from the NBA after next season, many people believe LeBron should play his final campaign with Cleveland.
The leading scorer in NBA history, LeBron will make $52.6 million next season in the final year of his contract. It would be a storybook ending for the Akron native to finish his iconic career with the Cavaliers, who are acquiring Bronny in this trade idea as well.
For the Lakers last season, LeBron averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists in 70 games. For the Cavaliers last season, Garland averaged 20.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 6.7 assists and Allen averaged 13.5 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
While all signs point toward LeBron beginning next season with the Lakers, if Los Angeles struggles out of the gate, King James has the option of requesting a trade and going back home.
