NBA Trade Idea Sends Miami Heat’s Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier, Jaime Jaquez Jr. to Los Angeles Lakers

An NBA trade idea in which the Los Angeles Lakers acquire Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier and Jaime Jaquez Jr. from the Miami Heat has been created.
NBA writer Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report created the following trade idea between the Lakers and Heat:
Miami Heat receive: LeBron James, Bronny James and Dalton Knecht
Los Angeles Lakers receive: Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier, Jaime Jaquez Jr., a 2029 first-round pick and a 2030 first-round pick swap (top-three protected)
For this NBA trade idea to happen, LeBron would have to request a trade from the Lakers to the Heat, the franchise he won two MVPs, two championships and two Finals MVPs for. LeBron has a no-trade clause in his contract.
The Lakers are building around Luka Dončić, not LeBron, which is why Buckley created this NBA trade idea.
Wiggins played for the Golden State Warriors and Heat last season. He averaged 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 44.8% from the field, 37.4% from beyond the arc and 76.3% from the free-throw line. The one-time NBA champion will make $28.2 million next season.
Rozier appeared in 64 games for the Heat last season. He averaged 10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 39.1% from the field, 29.5% from beyond the arc and 85.2% from the free-throw line. The veteran guard will make $26.6 million next season in the final year of his contract.
Jaquez Jr., who grew up a Lakers fan, played in 66 games for the Heat last season. He averaged 8.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 46.1% from the field, 31.1% from beyond the arc and 75.4% from the free-throw line. The UCLA product will make $3.9 million next season.
The Lakers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2025 playoffs in five games. Dončić is expected to sign an extension with Los Angeles soon.
