Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks will miss four to six weeks, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN.
Brooks has a broken left hand.
The Suns acquired Brooks from the Houston Rockets in the blockbuster Kevin Durant trade last offseason. Brooks is averaging 20.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game this season while shooting 44.0% from the field, 34.3% from beyond the arc and 85.6% from the free-throw line.
Phoenix is 33-25, good for seventh place in the Western Conference standings. If the regular season ended today, the Suns would face the Golden State Warriors in the 7-8 play-in tournament game.
Dillon Brooks has played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Rockets and Suns. He holds career averages of 14.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in 542 games.
