Wembanyama is the first player in NBA history to unanimously win Defensive Player of the Year. He’s also the youngest player to win the award.
Wembanyama appeared in 64 games for the Spurs during the regular season. He averaged 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.1 blocks per game while shooting 51.2% from the field, 34.9% from beyond the arc and 82.7% from the free-throw line.
The two-time All-Star led the NBA in blocks per game and total blocks.
The Spurs are the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. They went 62-20 in the regular season. Wembanyama, who won the 2023-24 Rookie of the Year Award, is a finalist for MVP this season.
