The Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in trading for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and Dallas Mavericks All-Star Anthony Davis, according to NBA insider Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

Cleveland could also be close to trading Darius Garland to the Los Angeles Clippers for James Harden.

The Cavaliers are looking to trade Jarrett Allen, who is making $20 million this season, sources told DallasHoopsJournal. Allen must be traded for Cleveland to acquire Davis or Antetokounmpo.

Cleveland hasn’t advanced past the second round of the playoffs since 2018. The “Core 4” of Garland, Allen, Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley has been together since 2022. It appears their time together is coming to an end.

Davis is out with ligament damage in his left hand. He’s not expected to play until late February at the earliest. The 2026 NBA trade deadline is February 5 at 3 p.m. ET.

A Chicago native, Davis is averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks per game this season for the Mavericks. He’s appeared in just 20 games.

Antetokounmpo is ready to play for a new team and the Bucks are listening to trade offers for the future Hall of Famer. However, since Antetokounmpo doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract, he can’t force the Bucks to trade him.

Multiple teams are pursuing Antetokounmpo even though the forward is expected to miss the next four to six weeks with a right calf injury. Antetokounmpo has appeared in 30 games this season. He’s averaging 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.7 blocks per game.

Antetokounmpo is making $54.1 million this season, while Davis is making $54.1 million. Neither NBA champion has a no-trade clause.

The Cavaliers are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. They had the best record in the East last season but lost to the Indiana Pacers in the conference semifinals in five games.
