Chicago Bulls Bracing for Coby White to Seek More Than $120 Million Contract Next Offseason

The Chicago Bulls are bracing for Coby White to seek more than a $120 million contract next offseason, according to NBA insider Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

White becomes an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

Josh Giddey, who remains a restricted free agent, has been asking the Bulls for a four-year, $120 million deal, but Chicago is only offering a four-year, $88 million contract.

“The Bulls, of course, are bracing amid the Josh Giddey negotiations for the prospect of Coby White seeking a four-year deal worth more than the $30 million-per-season pact that Giddey has sought when White is the Chicago backcourt cornerstone eligible for a nine-figure deal next summer,” Stein wrote.

White appeared in 74 games for the Bulls last season. He averaged 20.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.2 blocks while shooting 45.3% from the field, 37.0% from beyond the arc and 90.2% from the free-throw line.

A UNC product, White will make $12.9 million next season in the final year of his contract. He signed a three-year, $36 million deal with the Bulls in 2023.

White, 25, has career averages of 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks. He was the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Giddey averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.6 blocks last season for the Bulls, shooting 46.5% from the field, 37.8% from beyond the arc and 78.1% from the free-throw line. He recorded 30 double-doubles and seven triple-doubles in 70 games.

Chicago acquired Giddey from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Alex Caruso trade. Caruso helped the Thunder win the 2025 championship against the Indiana Pacers in seven games, while Giddey and the Bulls missed the 2025 playoffs.

Giddey turns 23 in October. He has career averages of 14.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.5 blocks with the Thunder and Bulls.
