Dallas Wings, City of Dallas Announce Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Practice Facility
The City of Dallas and the Dallas Wings have announced a groundbreaking ceremony to announce a new state-of-the-art practice facility at Joey Georgusis Park in west Dallas/Oak Cliff will be held on Sept. 26. The project marks a significant investment in women’s professional sports and community development, giving the Wings their first permanent training home.
The facility is designed to serve both the franchise and the surrounding community. Plans include professional-grade basketball training courts and equipment, player wellness and recovery facilities, media and press accommodations, and multipurpose community spaces that will host youth programs, local athletics, and special events.
The new facility is expected to open before the 2026 WNBA season, giving the Wings a permanent base that underscores Dallas’s growing role as a hub for professional women’s basketball.
