The Milwaukee Bucks will enter Monday night’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks expecting their superstar to be available, as Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as probable with left knee patellar tendinopathy.

Antetokounmpo, who scored 37 points in Sunday’s 122-115 loss to the Houston Rockets, continues to play through discomfort in his left knee but has maintained one of the NBA’s most dominant starts to the season.

He enters Monday’s game averaging 33.4 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 6.6 assists — all near career-best marks — while shooting efficiently from the field and even stretching his range, having made 7-of-13 from beyond the arc so far this year.

The Bucks’ injury report remains relatively thin outside of Antetokounmpo’s maintenance designation. Alex Antetokounmpo (G League — Two-Way), Kevin Porter Jr. (right knee meniscus surgery), and Taurean Prince (neck herniated disk) are all out.

Milwaukee fell to 6–4 with Sunday’s loss in Houston, undone by missed free throws late and a decisive 22–7 run by the Rockets to close the game. Kevin Durant scored 31 points for Houston, including a key jumper with under two minutes to play that gave the Rockets the lead for good.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Dominance Carries Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee fell to 6–4 with Sunday’s loss in Houston, undone by missed free throws late and a decisive 22–7 run by the Rockets to close the game. Kevin Durant scored 31 points for Houston, including a key jumper with under two minutes to play that gave the Rockets the lead for good.

Despite the loss, Antetokounmpo once again carried Milwaukee’s offense, scoring efficiently in the paint and pushing the pace against double teams.

His health and availability remain crucial as the Bucks continue to lean on his all-around impact while adjusting to new personnel, including center Myles Turner, who has made an early impression as a floor spacer. Turner has hit 21-of-53 from deep (39.6%) since joining the Bucks on a four-year, $109 million deal in free agency.

Dallas Mavericks Begin Homestand with Injury Questions

Monday’s game in Dallas will also feature one of the league’s most intriguing matchups between established dominance and emerging youth.

Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, has averaged 13.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3 assists through his first 10 games. Dallas snapped a four-game losing streak Saturday night in Washington behind 30 points off the bench from Naji Marshall.

The Mavericks (3–7) are still navigating a crowded injury report. Anthony Davis (left calf strain) and Daniel Gafford (right ankle sprain) are both questionable, while Dereck Lively II (right knee sprain) is doubtful. Danté Exum (right knee management) and Kyrie Irving (left knee surgery) remain sidelined.

Milwaukee enters as one of the NBA’s best three-point shooting teams at 39.7 percent, while Dallas looks to gain momentum at the start of a four-game homestand.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CST at American Airlines Center.
