Kyrie Irving and ANTA officially introduced KAI3 on Monday, launching what the brand describes as the beginning of the KAI 3.0 era.
The release marks the next evolution of Irving’s signature footwear line, with the KAI3 positioned as a reflection of renewal, discipline and long-term rebuilding — both on and off the court. Rather than framing the shoe as a simple update, the rollout emphasizes a broader recalibration process shaped by patience, resilience and intentional growth.

KAI3 arrives during a period in which Irving continues to work his way back from injury, and the shoe’s conceptual foundation mirrors that timeline. The KAI 3.0 philosophy centers on the idea that recovery is not solely physical, but holistic, requiring time, reflection and trust in the process. Within that framework, the focus is not on rushing a return, but on what is gained through it.
Kai 3’s Design Focused on Stability and Precision
From a performance standpoint, KAI3 is built around control, balance and responsiveness — attributes critical for high-level guards returning to full form. The silhouette draws inspiration from the peregrine falcon, emphasizing speed, efficiency and forward motion through a streamlined, aerodynamic profile.
The upper features strategically placed ventilation zones designed to enhance airflow while maintaining structure and lockdown during play. A reinforced heel counter, highlighted by handcrafted stitching details, adds rearfoot support and durability, while contributing to a more refined finish.
In the forefoot, layered structural lines trace the natural movement of the foot to reinforce lateral stability during sharp cuts and directional changes. Underfoot, a nitrogen-infused N2 foam midsole uses sculpted geometry to distribute impact forces evenly, aiming to deliver responsive cushioning with a controlled, stable ride.
Chinese New Year Debut Colorway
The KAI3 will debut in a Chinese New Year (CNY) colorway, a nod to the Spring Festival and its symbolism of renewal, family and prosperity. Celebrated as the transition from winter to spring on the lunisolar calendar, the holiday represents leaving past misfortune behind and welcoming new beginnings.
The CNY palette features beige, gold and red — colors traditionally associated with protection, abundance and growth — reinforcing the broader themes tied to the KAI 3.0 era and its emphasis on intention and balance.
Availability for Kyrie Irving’s Latest
KAI3 will retail for $135 and will be available exclusively through Anta.com beginning January 17.
The launch represents the next step in Irving’s ongoing partnership with ANTA, continuing a signature line that blends performance innovation with cultural storytelling, while framing KAI 3.0 as a longer-term chapter rather than a momentary release.
