Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James Warned His Financial Adviser To Never Steal Money From Him: ‘It Ain’t Going To Be Good For You’

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was on his wife Savannah’s podcast, Everybody’s Crazy, and the NBA legend said he warned his financial adviser to never steal money from him.
There have been several financial advisers who have stolen money from their clients in sports history.
“I have a lot of more risky friends, and friends that are less risky,” James said. “But for me, like, when I’m talking to my business partners and s— like that, financial advisers, you know, accountants, all that type of s—. My financial adviser, the first thing I told him when he wanted to manage my money was if you steal my money, bro, or if I’m broke, bro, I’m letting you know, bro, it ain’t going to be good for you.
“I swear to God, I’m really like that, because I can’t start over. There’s no way. None of us sitting here can start over. I’m not Monopoly-ing this. I’m not starting back at, ‘Pass go and you collect $200 to start back at go,’ No, too far gone at this point.”
According to Forbes, James has a net worth of $1.3 billion. He’s the first active NBA player to become a billionaire.
James was the first pick in the 2003 NBA Draft out of high school. He has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers (twice), Miami Heat and Lakers.
James enters the 2025-26 season with career averages of 27.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks. He’s a four-time MVP, a four-time champion, a four-time Finals MVP, a one-time scoring champion and a one-time assists champion.
James, who grew up idolizing Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan, is first in NBA history in points. He’s the only player to rank top five all-time in points and assists, the only player to win three Finals MVPs with three teams, the only player with 40,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 career assists and the only player to score 50,000 points combining the regular season and playoffs.
James has one year left on his contract with the Lakers. He becomes an unrestricted free agent next offseason for the first time since 2018.
James, 40, made the All-NBA Second Team and finished sixth in MVP voting last season. We have never seen an old player be this good.
