Los Angeles Lakers’ Luka Dončić Playing Through ‘A Lot Of Pain’

NBA superstar Luka Dončić of the Los Angeles Lakers is playing through “a lot of pain” right now, according to Lakers Daily.

Dončić is dealing with a left elbow injury and “nagging” pain in both legs, but he doesn’t want to sit out because the Lakers are without three key players: Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and Gabe Vincent.

A five-time All-Star, Dončić has missed seven games this season. The Lakers are 21-11. They are in fifth place in the rugged Western Conference standings behind the play of Dončić, Reaves and NBA icon LeBron James.

Dončić is putting up MVP numbers for the Lakers. The former Dallas Mavericks star is averaging 33.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game while shooting 45.9% from the field, 31.7% from beyond the arc and 80.1% from the free-throw line.

The 26-year-old Dončić leads the NBA in points per game and has 16 double-doubles and three triple-doubles.

The Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday (1/2) behind Dončić and James. The two superstars combined for 65 points.

Los Angeles is back in action on Sunday (1/4) against Memphis again.
