The Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards are interested in trading for Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga, according to NBA reporter Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The Warriors are expected to trade Kuminga before the NBA trade deadline, which is next month.

Kuminga signed a two-year, $48.5 million deal with the Warriors to end his restricted free agency this past offseason. The second year of the deal, which is a team option, is designed for Kuminga’s next team to rip up and construct a new contract next offseason.

Kuminga believes his growth has been stunted by Steve Kerr and the Warriors, sources told DallasHoopsJournal. Kerr and Kuminga don’t have a good relationship.

The 23-year-old Kuminga has been out of the Warriors’ rotation a few times this season. He’s appeared in 18 games, averaging 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 43.1% from the field, 32.0% from beyond the arc and 74.1% from the free-throw line.

Kuminga wanted to leave Golden State this past offseason and play for Sacramento, sources said. The swingman has many fans within the Kings organization.

The Kings offered Malik Monk and a protected 2030 first-round pick to the Warriors for Kuminga this past offseason, sources said. Kuminga had positive conversations with Sacramento head coach Doug Christie and the Kings’ front office told Kuminga they view him as an All-Star forward who would receive a high usage rate with them.

Kuminga has career averages of 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He won the 2022 title with Golden State.

The Mavericks are 14-23, the Kings are 8-29, the Bulls are 17-19, the Wizards are 10-25 and the Warriors are 19-18.
