Myisha Hines-Allen Headlines Dallas Wings Injury Report Against Connecticut Sun

Dallas Wings forward Myisha Hines-Allen is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Connecticut Sun due to an ankle injury. While the team has not provided further details, Hines-Allen spent most of the open portion of Monday’s practice on a stationary bike, rather than participating in on-court activities.
Hines-Allen has started each of the Wings’ four games this season at center, averaging 6.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.0 blocks in 23.0 minutes per game. She played just under 17 minutes in Saturday’s 83–75 loss to the Atlanta Dream and has been a consistent presence in a rotation filled with new pieces.
If Hines-Allen cannot play, Dallas will have key decisions to make with its starting frontcourt. Teaira McCowan becomes a clear candidate to step in at center if the Wings prioritize size in the paint. However, if head coach Chris Koclanes prefers to maintain the team’s small-ball look, Maddy Siegrist may see extended minutes alongside NaLyssa Smith, who has started each game at power forward. The team also has Luisa Geiselsöder as an option to deploy for frontcourt depth.
Koclanes has praised Hines-Allen and Paige Bueckers for their leadership and ability to guide a young group that includes multiple rookies.
“Myisha has been a good presence, a solid veteran presence, and a good voice—a lighthearted voice, yet a stern one,” Koclanes told DallasHoopsJournal.com before Saturday’s game in Atlanta. “Paige, as a rookie, is finding her spots and opportunities to be in front of the team as a whole. But even more so, individually behind the scenes, being who she is and doing what she does to get everyone on the same page.”
With the Wings (0–4) still seeking their first win of the season, Hines-Allen’s experience and stability could be missed in a high-stakes matchup against Connecticut, another winless team entering Tuesday’s contest.
Tipoff between the Wings and Sun is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT Tuesday at Mohegan Sun Arena. The game will air locally on KFAA 29 and stream nationally on WNBA League Pass.
