NBA Trade Idea Sends Giannis Antetokounmpo From Milwaukee Bucks To Detroit Pistons

An NBA trade idea sending Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Detroit Pistons has been created.
NBA writer Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report created the following trade idea between the Bucks and Pistons:
Detroit Pistons receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Milwaukee Bucks receive: Tobias Harris, Jaden Ivey, Ausar Thompson, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2029 first-round pick and a 2031 first-round pick
This blockbuster NBA trade idea would pair Antetokounmpo with Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren.
The Bucks will only trade Antetokounmpo if he requests a trade. The superstar thought about requesting a trade this offseason.
Milwaukee lost to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2025 playoffs in five games, while Detroit lost to the New York Knicks in the first round in six games.
The Bucks haven’t gotten past the first round of the playoffs since 2022. They have won just one playoff series since winning the 2021 championship against the Phoenix Suns.
Antetokounmpo will make $54.1 million this season. He has a player option worth $62.8 million for the 2027-28 season.
A top 75 player of all time, Antetokounmpo is a two-time MVP, a one-time Finals MVP, a one-time Defensive Player of the Year and a nine-time All-Star. The Greek Freak enters this season with career averages of 23.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks.
Antetokounmpo finished third in MVP voting last season. He averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.2 blocks while shooting 60.1% from the field and made the All-NBA First Team.
The Pistons have a bright future with Cunningham leading the way. They would probably compete for the championship with Antetokounmpo in the fold next to Cunningham and Duren.
