According to NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN, Sacramento Kings star big man Domantas Sabonis has a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Sabonis will be re-evaluated in three to four weeks.

Sabonis has appeared in 11 games this season. He’s averaging 17.2 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 51.0% from the field, 20.0% from beyond the arc and 72.5% from the free-throw line. The three-time All-Star has nine double-doubles.

The Kings have been a walking disaster this season. They are only 3-12 despite having Sabonis, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook.

Sabonis is making $42.3 million this season. He’ll make $45.5 million next season and $48.6 million during the 2027-28 season, the final year of his contract.

A three-time rebounding champion, Sabonis has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Indiana Pacers and Kings. He holds career averages of 16.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
