When the Dallas Mavericks face the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night, it remains to be seen if Stephen Curry or Andrew Wiggins will be in the lineup. As both teams aim to bounce back from disappointing losses in the NBA Cup Quarterfinals, the injury report will be something important to monitor throughout the day.

Curry (right cervical facet inflammation) and Wiggins (right adductor tightness) are both officially listed as questionable to play against the Mavericks. Their availability could significantly impact the game plan and rotation decisions for Golden State. Gui Santos is also listed as questionable, but he’s not dealing with an injury — the reason is a G League assignment, as he continues to develop with additional playing time.

Meanwhile, De’Anthony Melton is set to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets as part of a larger trade package involving veteran guard Dennis Schröder. However, Melton is still recovering from an ACL tear that he suffered during a game against the Mavericks on November 12 and has been sidelined ever since. His status remains unchanged for now.

As for Schröder, he will not be available to make his debut against Dallas, especially considering the deal between the Warriors and Nets cannot become official until Sunday at the earliest, once league office processing is complete.

The Mavericks have received some positive news as P.J. Washington is no longer listed on the team’s injury report. After missing one game due to illness, Washington participated fully in two consecutive practices and spoke with reporters following Saturday’s session, expressing excitement about being able to rejoin his teammates on the floor.

However, Dallas will still be shorthanded overall. The Mavericks have already ruled out Naji Marshall (illness), Maxi Kleber (illness/rib fracture), Danté Exum (right wrist sprain), Jaden Hardy (right ankle sprain), and Brandon Williams (right thumb sprain) for Sunday’s contest.

Tipoff for the matchup between the Mavericks and Warriors is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT at Chase Center.
