Even without playing Sunday night, Stephen Curry made one of the weekend’s clearest statements. Curry arrived at NBA All-Star festivities wearing a special player’s edition of Klay Thompson’s ANTA KT11 “Make It Forever” sneakers — the same commemorative pair that was formally presented to Thompson during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at ANTA’s new Beverly Hills flagship store when he signed his lifetime endorsement contract.

Curry was ruled out of the 2026 NBA All-Star Game due to right patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly known as runner’s knee. But his footwear choice quickly became one of the defining visuals of the weekend.

The silver, diamond-inlaid KT11 colorway highlights Thompson’s career milestones, including his 60-point game, his record-setting 37-point quarter and his four NBA championships with Golden State. The pair Curry wore was a player-exclusive version, created to spotlight Thompson’s new lifetime deal and not intended as a general retail release.

Beverly Hills Flagship Marks U.S. Milestone for ANTA

The shoes were first unveiled publicly Friday, Feb. 13, during the grand opening of ANTA’s first U.S. flagship store in Beverly Hills.

ANTA, one of the world’s largest sportswear companies, opened the approximately 2,500–3,000 square-foot space at 330 N. Beverly Drive as part of a broader expansion into the American market. The ceremony included ANTA leadership, City of Beverly Hills officials, representatives from the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and signature athletes Thompson and Kyrie Irving.

The 10:30 a.m. PT event featured welcoming remarks from city leaders, executive comments from ANTA officials and an official ribbon cutting alongside Thompson and Irving. During the ceremony, ANTA presented Thompson with the KT11 “Make It Forever” edition in recognition of his newly signed lifetime — or “legacy” — contract.

“Opening our first U.S. flagship in Beverly Hills is a defining moment for ANTA,” Samuel Tsui, CEO of ANTA Brand, said in a statement. “This store represents our commitment to the U.S. market and our belief that sport, culture, and performance innovation belong on the world’s biggest stages. Beverly Hills is the perfect home for that vision.”

Designed as more than a retail destination, the flagship serves as ANTA’s U.S. brand hub, featuring performance running, lifestyle footwear, signature basketball products and apparel, along with immersive athlete storytelling spaces. The company operates more than 12,000 stores globally, primarily across China, and views the Beverly Hills location as the foundation for expanded U.S. presence.

Klay Thompson’s Lifetime Deal and Stephen Curry’s All-Star Tribute

Thompson initially signed with ANTA in 2014 and later agreed to a reported 10-year contract in 2017 valued at up to $80 million. His new agreement extends beyond his playing career, placing him among a select group of active NBA players with lifetime shoe deals, including LeBron James and Kevin Durant with Nike and Damian Lillard with Adidas.

Over their 12-year partnership, ANTA and Thompson have sold more than 10 million KT-branded sneakers, a benchmark that helped solidify the long-term agreement.

Curry’s decision to wear the commemorative pair during his 12th All-Star selection added a visible show of support for his longtime backcourt partner. Thompson reposted images of Curry wearing the KT11 on his Instagram story, amplifying the moment across social media.

Though Curry did not take the floor Sunday, the symbolism was unmistakable. The shoes first celebrated in Beverly Hills now carried the spotlight onto one of the NBA’s biggest stages — a full-circle moment linking Thompson’s business milestone, ANTA’s U.S. expansion and the enduring connection between two of the league’s most prolific shooters.
