ANTA said the “KAI Mentality” colorway draws inspiration from Irving’s approach to competition. The company described the KAI 3 as a performance model built with lightweight responsiveness, multidirectional traction, and added support designed for quick changes of direction and controlled movement on the court.

The Hélà Roots lifestyle silhouette was designed exclusively for Irving and features a segmented sole divided into four sections. ANTA said the design reflects principles important to Irving, blending symbolic elements with a casual, off-court aesthetic.

The NBA All-Star Weekend pack includes:

  • KAI 3 “KAI Mentality”
  • Hélà Roots “KAI Mentality”
  • Hélà All-Star hoodie
  • Hélà All-Star shirt
  • Hélà All-Star short

ANTA also announced a consumer activation connected to the release. The outsole of the KAI 3 “KAI Mentality” includes references to past NBA All-Star host cities, including New York City, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Cleveland, and Houston. Featured color callouts for the collection include Mint Smoke Ink Gray, Rock Camo Ash, Lotus Root Gray, and Ming Toe Brown.

Irving enters All-Star Weekend as one of the most accomplished guards of his generation. A nine-time NBA All-Star, he won an NBA championship with Cleveland in 2016 and was named NBA All-Star Game MVP in 2014. Irving has earned three All-NBA selections, including a Second Team honor in 2019 and Third Team honors in 2015 and 2021. He was named NBA Rookie of the Year and selected to the All-Rookie First Team in 2012.

Beyond the NBA, Irving has earned significant international and amateur accolades, including USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year and FIBA World Cup MVP honors in 2014. Before entering the league, he was a McDonald’s All-American and a First Team Parade All-American in 2010.

Founded in 1991, ANTA Sports has grown into one of the world’s largest sportswear companies, producing performance footwear and apparel across multiple sports. The ANTA x Kyrie collaboration reflects the company’s continued effort to expand its presence in North American basketball through athlete-driven signature products.
