Three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal is getting bought out by the Phoenix Suns and signing a two-year, $11 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Shams Charania of ESPN broke the news on Wednesday.

Beal played in 53 games for the Suns last season. The Florida product averaged 17.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists while shooting 49.7% from the field, 38.6% from beyond the arc and 80.3% from the free-throw line.

Beal has appeared in 801 games with the Washington Wizards and Suns. He has career averages of 21.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting 46.4% from the field, 37.6% from 3 and 82.1% from the foul line.

The Wizards signed Beal to a massive five-year, $251 million contract in 2022 that contained a no-trade clause. Beal and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James were the only active players in the league with a no-trade clause.

Phoenix acquired Beal from Washington in the summer of 2023. The Suns won zero postseason games in the Beal era. They were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2024 playoffs and missed the postseason last season.

The Clippers, led by future Hall of Famers Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, lost to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2025 playoffs in seven games. The franchise has never been to the NBA Finals.

The Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat and Lakers pursued Bradley Beal as well.
