During an interview with Kayla Webley Adler of Elle, WNBA star Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky revealed the two most important goals for her before the end of her career.

Reese wants to win a WNBA championship and a gold medal with Team USA in the Olympics.

“I don’t really care about records—I just want to win a championship,” Reese said. “The two most important goals for me before the end of my career are winning a championship and playing on the Olympic team and winning a gold medal.”

Reese will likely be on Team USA in the summer of 2028. The Olympics will be in Los Angeles.

As for the Sky, they are nowhere near close to winning a championship. Chicago is only 8-24 this season. The franchise will miss the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

Reese has started 23 games for the Sky this season. She’s averaging 14.2 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks while shooting 44.4% from the field, 20.0% from beyond the arc and 79.0% from the free-throw line.

The LSU product, who hasn’t played since July 29 due to a back injury, has 17 double-doubles and one triple-double.

Reese was the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks as a rookie. The Maryland native has already established herself as one of the top rebounders in WNBA history.

Reese signed a four-year, $324,383 contract with the Sky last year after getting drafted in April. She also agreed to a multi-year endorsement contract extension with Reebok in October 2024.

“Reebok is back! We’re bringing back that old-school look, the old-school vibes,” Reese said. “People are going to be wearing Reebok everywhere, just like how they wear Jordans everywhere. I want people to wear the Angel Reese 1s everywhere and just to be a household name, to have no limits on what I can do and what I can accomplish.”
