
The Los Angeles Clippers are trading Chris Paul to the Toronto Raptors, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN.
The Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and Raptors have agreed on a multi-team trade sending Paul to the Raptors and Ochai Agbaji, a 2032 Raptors second-rounder and cash to the Nets.
Toronto is expected to waive Paul.
Paul played in 16 games this season for the Clippers. He averaged 2.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
One of the best point guards of all time, Paul has played for the New Orleans Hornets, Clippers (twice), Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. He holds career averages of 16.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game.
Paul has made 12 All-Star teams, nine All-Defensive teams and 11 All-NBA teams. He’s a top 75 player of all time and will make the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame one day.
It will be fascinating to see if Chris Paul plays again this season. He’s expected to retire from basketball after this season.
