The Dallas Wings will again be without key contributors Arike Ogunbowale and DiJonai Carrington when they face the Chicago Sky on Wednesday night at Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT, with local coverage on KFAA29 and streaming available on WNBA League Pass.

Ogunbowale (left thumb) and Carrington (rib) headline the Wings’ injury report for the third straight game, while Tyasha Harris (left knee) and Maddy Siegrist (right knee) also remain out. Harris is out for the season, while there remains no official timetable for the return of the other three players.

The depleted roster has forced Dallas to rely heavily on its rookie core, with four first-year players — Paige Bueckers, Aziaha James, JJ Quinerly, and Luisa Geiselsöder — starting the last two contests alongside center Li Yueru.

On Wednesday, the team re-signed guard-forward Haley Jones to a rest-of-season contract, filling the roster spot vacated by the release of Liatu King. Jones will be active against Chicago.

Wednesday’s game concludes the three-game season series between the Wings and the Sky. Chicago won both previous meetings — 97-92 on May 29 and 94-83 on May 31. Due to roster turnover and continued injury setbacks, Dallas will take the court with a drastically different lineup than in those earlier matchups.

The Wings (6-14) are coming off a 102-72 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Monday night. Quinerly scored a career-high 18 points, while James added 15. Teaira McCowan recorded nine points and tied for the game high with 10 rebounds.

Ogunbowale, averaging 16.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 18 appearances, has been sidelined since suffering her thumb injury during the Wings’ June 28 win over the Washington Mystics. Carrington, averaging 11.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists, was injured late in Dallas’ June 20 win over the Connecticut Sun after taking a hard charge.

The Sky enter Wednesday’s matchup fresh off an 81-79 loss to the Washington Mystics earlier in the day, despite 22 points and 15 rebounds from Angel Reese.

After facing Chicago, the Wings will wrap up their road trip with a nationally televised matchup against the Indiana Fever on Sunday. Tipoff is set for noon CT on ABC.
