If anything, it has been a tough past few days for NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Milwaukee Bucks’ centerpiece has a couple of serious suitors ahead of this trade deadline.

While the franchise is not sure whether to keep Antetokounmpo at the helm, he was recently named the NBA All-Star starter for the 10th year. However, nothing could contain what he’s feeling deep down.

Recently, Antetokounmpo couldn’t contain his true feelings about all the uncertainty that’s there linking his name.

“I don’t know, I take it day by day,” he said after the Bucks cruised past the Atlanta Hawks.

That said, while the cloud still looms large over him, Antetokounmpo is doing what he does best. Even during the Hawks game, he scored 21 points along with 17 rebounds to help Milwaukee end its three-game skid.

Additionally, the reporters had him for a brief time and made sure to get something out on the current trade rumors coming on the February 5 deadline. Though he had a rather straightforward answer.

“I can’t control that, I can’t control what other teams do. I just try to focus on doing my job, which is to compete and try to win games,” Antetokounmpo added.

His comments come a day after a significant rumor linked him to the Golden State Warriors. ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel plotted the trade idea while considering Jimmy Butler’s recent ACL injury.

With Butler out for the rest of the season, the Bay Area team might have to lean into another blockbuster trade.

Should Antetokounmpo’s circumstances in Milwaukee deteriorate, the door for a trade could reopen. If his situation doesn’t change, the Warriors may have to shift their focus to alternative trade targets to enhance their lineup.
