A six-player NBA trade proposal sending Jonathan Kuminga to the Phoenix Suns, De’Andre Hunter to the Golden State Warriors and Royce O’Neale to the Cleveland Cavaliers has been created.

NBA writer Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report created the following trade proposal:

Golden State Warriors receive: De’Andre Hunter

Phoenix Suns receive: Jonathan Kuminga, Trayce Jackson-Davis

Cleveland Cavaliers receive: Royce O’Neale, Ryan Dunn, Nick Richards

Kuminga has demanded a trade from the Warriors. This NBA trade proposal grants the forward his wish.

“There are no time restrictions on this trade, one that could be completed immediately now that Kuminga is eligible to be dealt,” Swartz wrote. “No draft picks need to switch hands, either, which is good considering both the Cavs and Suns are running short on them. The Warriors also save their four tradeable first-round picks to go star-chasing with this summer if they need to while putting an end to the Kuminga saga.”

Kuminga signed a two-year, $48.5 million deal with the Warriors to end his restricted free agency in the offseason. The second year of the deal is a team option.

Sources told DallasHoopsJournal that Kuminga believes his growth has been stunted by Steve Kerr and the Warriors. Kerr and Kuminga don’t have a good relationship.

The 23-year-old Kuminga has been out of the Warriors’ rotation a few times this season. He’s appeared in 18 games, averaging 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 43.1% from the field, 32.0% from beyond the arc and 74.1% from the free-throw line.

Kuminga has career averages of 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He won the 2022 title with Golden State.

The 2026 NBA trade deadline is Feb. 5. It will be fascinating to see where Kuminga gets traded to.
