After the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2025 playoffs in five games, NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN reported that Giannis Antetokounmpo was “open-minded” about leaving the Bucks.

Milwaukee has won only one postseason series since winning the 2021 championship against the Phoenix Suns.

There have been rumors that Antetokounmpo could request a trade from the Bucks this offseason, but the future Hall of Famer told IShowSpeed that he’s “probably” going to remain with Milwaukee.

Milwaukee has been busy this offseason. The front office waived and stretched Damian Lillard to sign Myles Turner, re-signed Bobby Portis, Kevin Porter Jr., Gary Trent Jr., Taurean Prince and Jericho Sims, signed Gary Harris and traded Pat Connaughton to the Charlotte Hornets.

The Bucks also chose not to re-sign Brook Lopez, who joined the Los Angeles Clippers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was the 15th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. The Greek Freak has spent his entire career with the Bucks.

Antetokounmpo made the All-NBA First Team last season. He averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.2 blocks in 67 games while shooting 60.1% from the field and 61.7% from the free-throw line.

One of the most incredible players in NBA history, Antetokounmpo will make $54.1 million next season. The Bucks signed Giannis to a massive three-year, $175 million extension in October 2023.

A top 75 player of all time, Antetokounmpo has career averages of 23.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks with the Bucks. He’s a two-time MVP, a one-time Finals MVP, a one-time Defensive Player of the Year and a nine-time All-Star.

As expected, the Bucks will not trade Antetokounmpo unless he requests a trade.
