Sources: Dallas Mavericks To Sign Jeremiah Robinson-Earl To Hardship 10-Day Contract

The Dallas Mavericks are set to sign forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to a 10-day hardship contract, and he will be available to play Thursday against the Utah Jazz.

Robinson-Earl’s return to an NBA roster follows a dominant stretch with the Texas Legends, where his role expanded into that of a featured frontcourt piece. Sliding between the four and small-ball five, he became a consistent anchor on both ends of the floor.

In 11 games with the Legends this season, all starts, Robinson-Earl averaged 19.3 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 34.7 minutes per game. He shot 52.2% from the field, converting 59.8% of his two-point attempts while also stretching the floor with 1.5 made three-pointers per game. His rebounding impact was equally pronounced, averaging 3.5 offensive rebounds and 8.3 defensive boards per contest while finishing possessions without disrupting offensive flow.

Prior Dallas Mavericks Impressions

That belief in Robinson-Earl’s reliability was echoed internally during the preseason. Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd spoke then about Robinson-Earl’s versatility and approach after seeing him operate within Dallas’ system in training camp.

“When you look at what he does, he’s consistent,” Kidd said. “He comes to work every day and does his job. He can shoot it, he can pass it, he can defend. It’s really sad that he’s not on an NBA roster for whatever reason.”

Robinson-Earl reinforced that impression during the preseason, appearing in all four exhibition games for Dallas. In limited minutes, he averaged 7.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game, providing low-usage, mistake-free production while handling multiple frontcourt responsibilities.

Indiana Pacers Stint

Earlier this season, Robinson-Earl received an extended NBA look with the Indiana Pacers, signing two consecutive 10-day hardship contracts as injuries mounted. The second deal effectively gave him a month-long audition in a real rotation role.

Across 17 games with Indiana, Robinson-Earl averaged 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 points, and 0.7 assists, providing physicality and rebounding before the Pacers ultimately opted to use their final roster spot on wing depth. That decision ended his run there but did little to diminish the broader evaluation of his readiness.

For Dallas, the 10-day signing reflects continuity as much as opportunity — a player they already know, whose 2025–26 body of work has consistently pointed back toward an NBA floor.
