An NBA trade idea sending Jalen Johnson and Zaccharie Risacher from the Atlanta Hawks to the Milwaukee Bucks has been created.

NBA writer Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report created the following trade idea between the Hawks and Bucks:

Atlanta Hawks Receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Milwaukee Bucks Receive: Jalen Johnson, Zaccharie Risacher, 2026 first-round swap (most favorable of Milwaukee’s own and New Orleans), 2027 first-round pick (least favorable of Milwaukee and New Orleans), 2030 first-round pick

Hughes created this trade idea after NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN reported on August 4 that Antetokounmpo is still evaluating his future with the Bucks, who have won just one playoff series since winning the 2021 championship against the Phoenix Suns in six games.

“As we sit here on August 4, sources tell me there is nothing set in stone about whether Giannis Antetokounmpo wants to stay in Milwaukee or whether he wants to leave elsewhere,” Charania said. “He’s been evaluating his future this entire offseason. I reported way back in mid-May that he’s open-minded about whether his best fit is in Milwaukee or is it a trade elsewhere.”

Johnson played in only 36 games for the Hawks last season due to a shoulder injury. He averaged 18.9 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks while shooting 50.0% from the field, 31.2% from beyond the arc and 74.6% from the free-throw line. The 23-year-old will make $30 million next season.

Risacher was the first pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He appeared in 75 games for Atlanta last season and averaged 12.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks while shooting 45.8% from the field, 35.5% from beyond the arc and 71.1% from the free-throw line. The 20-year-old will make $13.2 million next season.

The Bucks will only trade Antetokounmpo if the two-time MVP requests a trade.
