According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the New Orleans Pelicans are getting trade calls from the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers are interested in Herbert Jones, while the Warriors are interested in Trey Murphy III.

The Pelicans have the worst record in the Western Conference. They are only 5-22.

Jones is making $13.9 million this season, while Murphy III is making $25 million. The Pelicans have a high asking price for both forwards.

The 27-year-old Jones is averaging 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 39.5% from the field, 33.8% from beyond the arc and 80.0% from the free-throw line. He’s one of the top two-way players in the NBA.

Meanwhile, Murphy III, 25, is averaging 21.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 48.9% from the floor, 36.0% from 3 and 89.9% from the foul line. He’s one of the best shooters in the league.

The Lakers are 18-7. They are in fourth place in the West. Defense has been a huge issue for the Purple and Gold this season, as they are 19th in the NBA in points per game allowed and 20th in defensive rating.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are only 13-14. Despite Stephen Curry averaging 29.6 points per game, Golden State is 21st in the NBA in points per game and 20th in offensive rating.
