Dallas Wings Injury Report
- Tyasha Harris: Out (Left Knee)
- Maddy Siegrist: Out (Right Knee)
Bueckers sat out Sunday’s game as part of a load management plan following a stretch that included 37 minutes played Friday night against Golden State. She has averaged 34.6 minutes through 20 appearances this season. The Wings were also without Myisha Hines-Allen (right lower leg), Tyasha Harris (left knee), and Maddy Siegrist (right knee).
New York Liberty Injury Report
- Breanna Stewart: Out (Injury Management)
The Liberty will be without Breanna Stewart, who was ruled out due to injury management following Saturday’s loss to Los Angeles.
Dallas Wings Look to Regroup Quickly After Sunday’s Setback
Dallas struggled to find rhythm in Sunday’s loss to Las Vegas without Bueckers in the lineup. The Wings trailed by as few as five late in the third quarter but gave up 33 points in the fourth, their worst defensive quarter of the season.
Teaira McCowan was a bright spot, posting season highs of 12 points and 13 rebounds in just 17 minutes. Haley Jones added a season-best 15 points, marking her fourth straight game in double figures.
“We were moving the ball pretty well in the second quarter, and then we kind of got stagnant,” Jones said postgame. “We just have to be better — especially on the glass and at the point of attack.”
Head coach Chris Koclanes emphasized the need for consistency, especially in transition defense and finishing through contact.
“You demand it of them,” Koclanes said. “At the end of the day, we’re pros—we’ve got to go finish around the rim.”
Paige Bueckers Eyes Rookie Franchise Steals List
Bueckers enters Monday ranked ninth in the WNBA in scoring (18.1), eighth in assists (5.6), and fourth in steals (1.8). With 36 total steals, she is two away from entering the Wings’ all-time rookie top-10 list, currently shared by Sandy Brondello and Angel Goodrich at 38.
Should her 1.8 steals per game rate hold, it would be the highest by a rookie since Napheesa Collier in 2019 and the best mark above 2.0 since Glory Johnson in 2012.
Dallas will release an official injury report early Monday, but by all accounts, Bueckers is expected to play.
Haley Jones Finds Offensive Rhythm
Haley Jones has stepped into a versatile role during Dallas’ recent stretch of injuries and rotation shifts. Her 15-point performance Sunday marked the first time in her three-year career she’s scored in double digits in four straight games. She’s also operated as a key playmaker with Bueckers out, sliding between ball-handling and frontcourt responsibilities.
“They’ve trusted me in different roles,” Jones said earlier this month. “It helps knowing the staff believes in me to do that.”
JJ Quinerly Rising Among Third-Round Picks
JJ Quinerly continues to exceed expectations as a third-round draft pick. Her scoring average of 7.0 points per game currently ranks 11th all-time among WNBA third-round rookies and third in the 2025 class behind Temi Fágbénlé (8.3) and Sug Sutton (7.5).
Quinerly started Sunday’s game and has provided speed and downhill pressure that has complemented Arike Ogunbowale’s scoring and allowed others to find cleaner looks.
What’s at Stake
Dallas looks to bounce back and start the week strong amid a daunting stretch of four games in six days. Following Monday’s game, the Wings will host the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday and face the Indiana Fever at American Airlines Center on Friday. Monday also marks their 92nd all-time meeting with the Liberty, with the Wings holding a 46–45 advantage.
