WNBA Legend Diana Taurasi Pushes Nike to Give Indiana Fever Star Caitlin Clark a Signature Shoe

WNBA legend Diana Taurasi believes Nike should give Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark a signature shoe.
Clark has already established herself as one of the best players in the WNBA despite only being a second-year player. The Iowa product is one of the most popular Nike athletes in the world.
Taurasi is one of the greatest players in WNBA history. She won three championships, two Finals MVPs and one MVP with the Phoenix Mercury. The 43-year-old is close friends with Clark and loves everything about the Fever guard.
“Me and Caitlin are really good friends,” Taurasi said about Clark. “We get along really well. We’ve had some great interactions. I just absolutely love what she does on the court, off the court. When I watch her play and the way she goes about her business, there’s a seriousness about it that I love.
“And, you know, she’s taking this game to new heights and it’s been amazing to watch and follow her. And, you know, it’s only gonna get better for our league and for Caitlin.”
Clark is a major asset to the WNBA. When she suffered a left quad injury on May 24 and missed almost a month, WNBA TV ratings went down more than 50%.
A gifted scorer and passer, Clark missed the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indiana. Ticket prices and viewership decreased after she announced she wouldn’t play.
Clark is currently out with a right groin injury. The two-time All-Star has played in 13 games this season for the Fever. She’s averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists while shooting 36.7% from the field, 27.9% from beyond the arc and 82.0% from the free-throw line.
The 23-year-old Clark won the Rookie of the Year Award last season. She was the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Clark has career averages of 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists with the Fever, who are 17-13 on the season.
It will be fascinating to see if Nike listens to Taurasi and gives Clark a signature shoe soon.
